Hey there, welcome to my homepage!

My name is Wei Wu, I am now is a doctoral student at University of Freiburg in Germany, my supervisor is Prof. Dr. Tobias Schätz.

My scientific interests include quantum simulation based on neutral atoms and ions, fundamental physics in cold atoms, as well as quantum precision measurement. My doctoral project at Uni-Freiburg is Quantum Simulation Based on Optically Trapped Ions, in which I am supposed to trap single ions in optical dipole trap and coherently control over their electronic degrees of freedoms in order to investigate the structure phase transitions of ion crystals driven by the quantum fluctuation.

In the past, I worked in Prof. Dr. Tiancai Zhang’s group at Shanxi University for my master degree and Prof. Dr. Antoine Browaeys’s group at Institut d’Optique Graduate School as a scientific collaborator.
